Both the drill tops and polo shirts have the school badge printed on them - the drill tops cost £20.00 and the polo shirts £15.00 GREGORIAN'S FOOTBALL CLUB PATRON'S SCHEME Bernard Halford, our President, and our Club have introduced a Gregorian's FC Patron's Scheme for the current and future seasons whereby we ask supporters and old boys to become Club Patrons and make a donation to the Club. The Gregorian's Football Club now plays its home fixtures at the Platt Lane Complex, Yew Tree Road, Fallowfield - the home of the Manchester FC Academy. This facility is a top class venue for the Football Club's first season in the Premier Division of the Manchester Football League. The Club's first team is now playing at Level 7 of the National League System and if at some stage it wins the Premier Division it will be able to apply to join the North West Counties League which is the Club's aim. Hence our Club's need to develop new sources of income for the Club. It costs our Club around £11000 to use the new 3 rd generation artificial pitch every Saturday afternoon and the new indoor training facilities twice a week at the Academy. The offer to our Club by MCFC of the use of these facilities is one it could not refuse as the use of them will greatly help the Club's development. As you may know the Club has been searching for a home for many years and we now hopefully have one; we have an agreement to use Platt Lane for 5 years. The Club needs to ensure it has sufficient income on an ongoing basis to pay for the use of Platt Lane and all our other needs, kit, equipment, etc., and whilst the hugely successful Sportsman's Dinners go some way to funding the Football Club's continued development they don't pay for all of our Club's needs. The Club Patron's Scheme will be another income stream for the Club. We are asking potential Patron's for a minimum donation of £50. We will acknowledge a Patron's Donation on the Club's web site and in the Sportsman's Dinner Programme. If a Patron wishes to make a donation in the name of a Company then the Club will provide a link from its web site into the Company's site. We will also invite Club Patron's to First Team matches and hire a room at the Academy where we will provide interval and after match refreshments for the Patron's. The bar is open in the Oasis Suite at the Academy during and after matches. Would you be interested in becoming a Club Patron? Another opportunity which the Club has to obtain some income is to sell space on advertising boards which are to be erected around the pitch which we use at Platt Lane for our matches. The Platt Lane Complex has 30000 Customers each year and this includes the Academy Teams from the many Premiership Clubs which visit Platt lane to play Manchester City including United, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, etc. If you know of any Company who would be interested in buying some of this advertising space at Platt Lane please contact me. Please support the Gregorian's Football Club. The Football Club I feel contributes a great deal to keeping the name and the traditions of St Gregory's School very much alive and it will continue to do so with your help. Gregorian's FC wish to thank the following Patron's for their support during the Season 2006/07
John Wilson
Bernard Halford
